Hello, my name is Sara Bailey, and I am one of the founders of Happy Tails Pet Care. Having been raised with dogs and cats, my passion for animals has been a lifelong journey. In high school, I pursued an animal science (veterinary science) pathway. My love for animals extends to understanding their communication and caring for them deeply. Currently, I engage in dog sports with my two dogs. My 7-year-old Labrador Retriever, Russell, introduced me to the world of sport dogs, which has been incredibly educational. Unfortunately, Russell suffered a CCL injury, which led me to study the canine musculoskeletal system. Taking care of him during his recovery and observing his progress was fulfilling. Dog sports have also provided me with the opportunity to meet a diverse group of people and dogs. I aspired to become a veterinary technician, and although I was initially too young for the role, I gained valuable experience working in a kennel attached to a veterinary hospital. This experience exposed me to various aspects of veterinary medicine. My drive to assist animals has always been strong, but I discovered a greater passion for understanding them and interpreting their body language. My increasing success in handling and interacting with animals has solidified my respect and understanding of them. I am currently studying to become a canine behaviorist and aim to achieve certification as a canine trainer. My dedication to loving and caring for animals is evident in my work, and I am committed to doing my utmost for every animal I encounter.
